The UK’s leading events for later life lending professionals

I was absolutely delighted to be asked to participate in what I regard as one of the most important events in the equity release calendar. It was a real privilege to share the stage with my fellow panellists – a genuine range of views and a wealth of experience, excellently compered by Tom. I’m humbled that so many people came in to hear the debate, I hope they took as much from it as I did.

I was not too sure what to expect at my first Equity Release Summit but I would fully recommend it. A fantastic day that was both informative and thought provoking, whilst learning from critical friends what the public see and feel about the industry - well done Equity Release Council.

I had the pleasure of attending the industry event hosted by the Equity Release Council in London on the 16th of May, and as an exhibitor, I must say it was an incredibly valuable experience for Advise Wise. The event was impeccably organised, and the attendance was impressive, attracting key players and professionals from the later life sector.

The 2023 Equity Release Summit was a well-run and valuable event. The breadth of presentation topics, opportunities for networking and venue were all excellent. As an international attendee, it was helpful to learn directly from some of the biggest players in a more mature market.

For anyone interested in how we make use of housing wealth in later life, the ERC Summit is an essential event for your diary.

Thank you very much for the invitation for us all to attend the Equity Release Summit - we all took away valuable contacts, conversations, and considerations from the sessions themselves and the networking breaks.

Each of the Australians that attended were impressed by both the quality of speakers and the enthusiastic engagement of delegates. They were kept busy all day with lively conversations that have continued beyond the Summit and in some cases, these interactions have resulted in valuable commercial outcomes.

Deciding to attend the Westminster summit in May 2024 was an easy decision for me to make, after a positive experience at the earlier Manchester summit in November 2023. The later life lending market is expected to move towards a period of significant growth and the Equity Release Council events provide an opportunity for Advisers to increase knowledge and build strong relationships with other Professionals in this sector. I can honestly say that after both Summits I have attended, I have come away with more knowledge and enthusiasm to benefit my business and enhance my skill set.
Ultimately, these events are organised to create an environment to share best practice and raise the standards across all practitioners and to create better outcomes for clients.
I believe attending this type of event has helped our business immensely and gives us more credibility. I look forward to forthcoming events in the near future.

The Equity Release Council’s Summit at Church House in Westminster was a triumph. Packed halls and break outs, feverish excitement in the exhibition halls and a truly extraordinary keynote from Nick Lyons of Phoenix that capped off some excellent sessions.
I can’t remember learning so much in a single day at any conference ever – and I’ve been to a few.
It’s not often that a Conference works as well as this did and when it does, it needs to be called out.
And all this – carried out with immense goodwill and the esprit de corps of a professionally run trade body that is a model to many like it. 

As a new member of the ERC, I was excited about sponsoring and speaking at the Summit. The day surpassed my expectations, and it was great sharing a space with other solution orientated people. The venue was fantastic, with a convenient central London location and the ERC team made us feel welcome and supported from the offset. In fact, the council has been incredibly helpful and welcoming from day 1, especially when it comes to embracing new technology and ideas. Loved seeing so many familiar faces from the industry, plus of course meeting new people and being able to network throughout the day. The speaker line up was impressive, the sessions informative and topics spot on. Looking forward to the next one already!
