Karen Healy

I’m Karen Healy, Head of Equity Release at e.surv Chartered Surveyors. My role is to support and provide technical advice, guidance on industry standards, and market views on residential property to the numerous Equity Release lenders and funders that depend on e.surv for advice. I manage a team of Technical Surveying Managers and a Specialist Equity Release Administrator, as well as spending much of my time on site with underwriters where I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the end to end application to offer process.

I have been a qualified surveyor for over 15 years, 12 of which were spent on the road as an operational valuation surveyor within the banking sector, undertaking surveys and valuations. Before embarking on my Equity Release role I spent 2 years as a Quality Surveying Manager developing a graduate surveyor programme, reviewing comparable analysis policy and managing conflicts of interest.

I am one of a number of Mental Health First Aiders trained by e.surv to look after the emotional wellbeing of our workforce, a role which I feel passionately about, and outside of work I provide support and advice to young adults struggling to cope with daily life.  Other passions include Formula 1, travelling the world (mostly to Formula 1 races), walking, and being creative.
