With a Masters in Economics and undergraduate degree in History, Karl has recently joined the Heat in Buildings Futures Unit. He has over a decade of experience working in a range of business engagement and economic development roles involving building successful partnerships across public, private and academic sectors. This includes in areas of strategic engagement, regional economic development and advanced manufacturing policy, where Karl project managed the development of the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) from concept through to awarding of construction contract. Outside of work Karl is a keen cyclist who also enjoys reading and is kept busy by his two young sons.
