Mark has 25 years of experience in financial services, working in roles across banking, mortgages, life assurance and SIPPs. He joined the FCA in 2014 and was responsible for supervising some of the largest retail banking groups as well as challenger and overseas banks. Mark also oversaw the development of the FCA’s supervision work on Access to Cash and on bank branch closures. He was appointed Head of Department in Consumer Finance in September 2022. Mark’s responsibilities include leading on Consumer Finance’s response to the cost of living crisis and the supervision of the Mortgage Intermediary, Credit Broking and Claims Management sectors.
